You Deserve the Best: 3 Ways to Accept Nothing LessIn the past people might have said or done things that made you feel like you weren’t good enough. This was very much true for me. From a young age it made me believe I wasn’t deserving of love & respect. And oh my, did it make me unhappy. I only ever accepted the love I thought I deserved; which wasn’t much at all. I later discovered that I was living a complete lie, I do deserve to be loved and respected, in fact every human being on this planet does. This lie was a big obstacle I had to overcome & when I finally did, I was able to start to create the life I live & love now. Here are the ways to do it. Let go of the past. The time someone at school was really mean to you, the boyfriend/girlfriend that dumped you & the times you felt like you weren’t living up to your parents expectations. These can cut us deep. We can’t change the past, but we can change the way we look it. The things that happened to you in the past are NOT at all a reflection of your worth. The bad things someone said or did to you honestly has nothing to do with you. It was just that person caught up in their own problems and unfortunately they took it out on you. Let go of the hurtful things people did to you, they didn’t treat you in the way you deserve but you don’t have to let that make you feel any less about yourself. Spend time with people who make you feel good. I believed I didn’t deserve love so I would accept people into my life who believed it too.
